Rumor Rosé - Côtes de Provence Rosé bottle
/ Overview

One brand, four deliverables.

Rumor Rosé is a premium Côtes de Provence rosé. The bottle, the wordmark, the photography all existed when I came in. What didn't exist was the system around them: how the typography behaves at 8pt and at 200pt, what paper carries which message, how the color logic shifts between formal and casual contexts, where French typographic conventions earn their place. I worked directly with the founders' team to build that system through four deliverables. A reference deck, bilingual sell sheets, social templates, and a website proposal. The team now reuses the deck's slides in other contexts.

Brand system work is mostly subtraction. For Rumor, that meant choosing one typography system, one color logic, and one set of rules. Then trusting the wine to do the rest.

The deck.

A reference deck of 30+ pages covering the story, the wine, the typography system, the color logic, the paper choices, the photography direction, and the rules for everyone downstream of the founders. The system leans on French typographic traditions: small caps for back-of-bottle copy, indented paragraph openings, a serif/sans pairing that feels editorial rather than corporate.

Built so a designer, a distributor, or a journalist can land in the deck and find what they need without explanation.

A suite of Instagram Story templates the marketing team can update without me. Product highlights, seasonal moments, venue features, press quotes, behind-the-scenes. Same visual grammar across all of them, so the feed stays Rumor whether or not a designer touched it that week.

The website.

A complete redesign at the Figma stage. Desktop and mobile, ready for development. The desktop carries the photography full-bleed. The mobile keeps the same hierarchy at thumb scale.

The site that ships at rumorrose.com today went a different direction. What's shown here is the proposal handoff.
